As the number of Hunters in the Order of Heroes continue to shrink in the ongoing Gulder Ultimate Search holding in Omodo forest, Aagba, Osun State, the question on many lips across the African continent is ‘who wins?’

With Vivien Okafor’s eviction from the Quest for the Horn of Valour, leaving Chisom Eluma as the last girl standing to give Melvin Oduah and Uche Uwaezeapu a run for the Ultimate Prize in this season’s Search, viewers across the continent cannot wait to behold who among the gallant Hunters will find the legendary Horn of Valour as the races to its climax. Who will be crowned the Ultimate Man of Gulder Ultmate Search VI?

We would recall that 10 brave men and women were selected among thousands of youths that applied to participate in this year’s Gulder Ultimate Search. From the regional screening in, held in Benin, Enugu, Owerri Abuja, Jos and Lagos covering the six geo-political zones of the country, the 10 Order of Heroes emerged as the best deemed qualify to participate in the Search for the Horn of Valour in deep jungle of Omodo forest in Aagba, Osun State.

About 25, 000 young men and women registered to audition for GUS VI across the country. Out of these, 8, 304 qualified for the regional selection, however, only 108 were successful. After the rigours of the regional auditions, only 36 contestants were considered worthy of a shot at the final national audition at Sea School in Lagos. The final 36 was later pruned down to 18 of which only 10 were chosen to participate in the Gulder Ultimate Search VI, searching for the Horn of Valour.



At a tension-soaked Gala Nite in Lagos, the following youn men and women: Vivian Okafor, Elvis Abogu, Melvin Oduah, Adaeze Nwogu, Chisom Egemasi, Debra Omekhigien, Olawale Akanbi, Uche Nwaezeakpu, Chuks Okorji, and Oseyiomon Okoh emerged the brave Hunters of the Order of Heroes that will take on the challenge of Omodo forest on trail of the legendary hunter’s tracks in Search of The Horn of Valour.

Before they ventured into the forest about three weeks ago, most of the contestants boast of the ability and resolve to emerge from the jungle with the Ultimate Prize. They all boast of the toughness and smartness and intelligence.

However, as soon as the game begins, the reality of jungle life began to set in. Soon, the Order of Heroes began falling by the way side one after the other like pack of cards.



It has been a grueling contest for the Order of Heroes since the show hit screens across the continent. In last couple of weeks, these young men and women have tasted the cruelty of nature inside Omodo forest, taking on the elements in their Search for the Horn of Valour. Viewers have seen them devise uncommon survivor instincts in their epic battle against the elements of the forest in the quest to becoming the Ultimate man or woman who carts home the mouthwatering prize of a whopping N7 million cash, an SUV worth about N10 million, N500,000 wardrobe allowance and other fringe benefits accruable to the man or woman who reign as the face of Gulder lager beer in the next 12 months.



With just a handful of the Hunters that began the Search for Horn of Valour still in the Quest, tongues are wagging, asking who among the three heroes Chisom Eluma, Melvin Oduah and Uche Uwaezeapu will emerged the Ultimate Man or Woman at the end of the Search.

Indeed, many are contemplating the fact that this season may produce the Show’s first Ultimate Woman in Chisom Eluma. From the Beginning of the Search, Chisom has won the heart of many for her heroic deeds. She’s obviously the Amazon of Gulder Ultimate Search VI, winning herself accolades from viewers even from among her fellow contestants.



For her active roles in camp earlier in the Search , Chisom won the admiration of fellow contestants, particularly from male counterparts. Elvis Abogun: “Chisom has aspects of her being strong than other guys. I think she’s a kind of girl. She’s a hard working girl. She puts efforts into things when she’s doing things and I think I will go with that. For Chisom, she works hard; she does most things better than other guys. I think she’s stronger than some guys in some aspects of some things.”

For her hard work, focus and determination and contribution to group tasks and general well-being of Palm-Boo Camp, Chisom has been rewarded a number of times. At a point, she was bestowed with double leadership roles, in spite of the presence of her male counterparts. She was made the Camp Leader and Totem Bearer after Wale Akanbi’s eviction from Palm-Boo Camp and GUS VI after the later lost THE Totem
Are we in for a surprise from a female contestant this year? The days ahead of the Search will determine as the three contestants remaining in the Quest battle the elements in the Quest to find the Horn of Valour inside Omodo forest.

For sure, the excitement is on. Television viewers and indeed the international audience are in for 21 days of the best in entertainment, an original Nigerian adventure programme with international standards.
